FC Monmouth VS ACFC Preview

WRITTEN BY CHRIS DAILEY

FC Monmouth is set to travel down to Stockton University to take on Atlantic City FC in a highly anticipated match this Wednesday at 7 PM.

Monmouth and Atlantic City are both in must-win situations, with FC Monmouth garnering 3 points through the first three games of the season and Atlantic City is currently sitting on 4 points.

Atlantic City is riding the momentum wave currently having just tied FC Motown, a monumental feat as Motown has seemed unplayable since their National Championship winning campaign.

FC Monmouth will need a lot to stop Atlantic City FC and they are prepared for the challenge. Head Coach, John Killick, has been inspiring the boys all week in training and they had an intense focus on how to pick apart a dangerous Atlantic City team.

“Going on the road to ACFC tomorrow is going to be an interesting game. There is a little bit of a rivalry for us being in the league for 4 years. We played them plenty of times. It should be a great game. As far as this team, it’s probably one of the best teams I’ve ever coached. Technically we are great, physically, great, and mentally great. We just need to get a little bit of luck and find some goals from somewhere. As they say in football, if you don’t score you don’t win,” stated Coach Killick.

FC Monmouth and Atlantic City settled for a 1-1 draw this time, and FC Monmouth is keen to increase their aggregate this time around and take back to Red Bank a vital three points.

The game will be crucial for the rest of the season, and getting off to a strong start will be the difference-maker in this fixture.
