FC Monmouth will look to continue its push for a playoff berth as it travels to face West Chester United SC. Last week’s draw against Atlantic City FC marked the final regular season game at home for FC Monmouth, as it will play its final three games on the road. Two of the three come against teams ahead of them in the standings. West Chester United SC currently leads the Keystone Conference with 18 points, riding a four-game winning streak. Both clubs enter the match ranking in the top three in the conference for goals scored.
LAST TIME OUT
In its final game at Count Basie Park in 2021, FC Monmouth came away with a crucial point in a 1-1 draw against Atlantic City FC on June 18. The first half featured limited chances for both sides, as Atlantic City FC scored on its lone shot attempt to make the halftime score 1-0. With chances becoming more frequent in the second half, FC Monmouth was able to even the score at one in the 64th minute. Forward Jacob Rubinstein intercepted a pass from the Atlantic City FC goalkeeper as he tried to clear the ball, and immediately shot it to score his third goal of the season. Both teams had a chance to win the game after the 90th minute, but the score remained 1-1 at the final whistle.

Founded in 2017, West Chester United SC has qualified for the playoffs in every season of its existence. In its debut season, the club went 6-2-2 before falling in the Keystone Conference Semifinals. The following season, they went 7-3-0 and won their first ever playoff game. They were defeated by FC Motown in the Keystone Conference Final. Most recently, they went 7-2-1 during the 2019 season, losing in the semifinals.
The all-time series is tied 1-1-0, with West Chester United SC winning the most recent matchup 4-0 in a weather-shortened game to end the 2019 regular season.
