Just Sports Training Returns As The Official Youth Sports Training Partner of FC Monmouth

January 22nd 2025

FC Monmouth is thrilled to announce the club’s contunued partnership with Just Sports Training as the Official Youth Sports Training Partner of FC Monmouth.

Lead by John Killick, former team manager, assistant coach, and head coach of the FC Monmouth men’s team that competed in the NPSL from 2018-2024, Killick started the company alongside Alberto Morello in 2020.

The two have since built out their staff to included former FC Monmouth assistant coach Seamus O’Connor as well as former FC Monmouth asssistand coach and player Pio Schiano-Lomoriello.

Since, Just Sports Training has serviced thousands of youth athletes across Monmouth County with sporting education, training, and development.

“We began as a youth club coaching program in 2020 and quickly found that youth athletes had a need for basic sporting skills that can help with their development through all phases of life, both on and off the field,” Killick explained.

JST has since launched multi sport camp programs, birthday party and celebrations, sporting educational clinics, and more to help service youth athletes as more than just a soccer coach.

A mainstay with the company has also been its pre-travel and recreaitional programs. Led by collaborations with groups such as the YMCA, The Boys and Girls Clubs, FC Monmouth, or other town recreation departments, JST has been able to identify underdeveloped players across all sports, to help them reach their future sporting aspriations.

“I love being around the players,” says Killick. “We coach recreational based athletes and are helping them reach new heights along their journeys almost everyday. We are also there to help them when they move to higher levels, challenging them more to grow within their specific sport. Between the players, our staff, and FC Monmouth I am consistently surrounded by people who love sports and want to help others, which is a great place to be.”

With 2025 already starting strong for Killick and co, Just Sports Training has more on the horizon in the calendar year. Between “schools out” programs that run year round, team training, private training, and operating FC Monmouth’s summer invitational team.

“Our summer invitational teams provide opportunities for players looking to advance their skills by playing on a year-round basis. We join players from different clubs, towns, and areas across the state to compete in different tournaments in the area. It is a great opportunity for them to step outside the mold of what they are used to playing in, while also meeting and playing with new teamates. This offers a new enviroment for each player to grow and potentially make lifelong friends along the way” Killick stated.

John and the Just Sports team are most certainly community first. As evident through their work with both the youth across Monmouth County and with FC Monmouth. The club is looking forward to new exciting initiatives to be able to collaborate with JST on as well as working to continuously improve the ones in place.

“Between his time coaching with FC Monmouth or collaboarting with Just Sports Training John has always been a great person to work alongside. He has passion for the sport and the community that surrounds him and I am excited to see what him and the company are able to accomplish this year,” says general manager James Davis.
