FC Monmouth will hit the road for the first time in 2021 as it will face Electric City Shock SC Wednesday night. The game marks the first of six games away from Count Basie Park this season. Electric City opened their 2021 campaign with a 4-0 victory over Hershey FC on May 15, which was their highest single-game goal mark since July 8, 2017. FC Monmouth will look for its first win of the season and their third all-time against Electric City.

FC Monmouth fell 2-0 in its season opener to FC Motown on May 8. After a scoreless first half, FC Motown was able to find the back of the net twice to earn their fourth all-time victory against FC Monmouth. All 11 starters for FC Monmouth played the full 90 minutes for the first time in club history. Goalkeeper Matt Perrella recorded seven saves in the game, which was the most for a FC Monmouth goalkeeper since the 2018 season.
ABOUT ELECTRIC CITY SHOCK SC
Founded in 2013, Electric City is playing in its seventh season in the National Premier Soccer League. After winning five games during its first three seasons, the club went 4-3-3 in 2017 to qualify for its first playoff appearance. Most recently, they went 2-7-1 during the 2019 season.
