Hawkins on the Board
After becoming the all-time assists leader in team history last week, forward Brian Hawkins scored his first career goal in the first half of Wednesday night’s match. He is one of five FC Monmouth players to have recorded double-digit shots this season, and with his goal against Atlantic City, all five of them have scored at least one goal in 2019.
DeCencio Pitches In
Midfielder Sam DeCencio registered assists on both of the FC Monmouth goals against Atlantic City FC, vaulting him into a tie for second place all-time in assists in team history. He also became the second player in team history to record multiple assists in the same game, with Hawkins being the other, as he reached that feat last Saturday.
Knibbs Again
FC Monmouth midfielder Bryant Knibbs scored the team’s second goal of the game early on in the second half to tie it at two. Knibbs now has a goal in each of the last four games, becoming just the second player in team history to score in four-straight games, with forward Regsan Watkins being the other. With the goal, he also leveled forward Jordan Saling’s 2018 record.
