After returning from a long road trip to Hershey FC with all three points on Saturday, FC Monmouth will find themselves back in Pennsylvania to take on Electric City Shock SC at the University of Scranton on Wednesday night.
The Shock were in action on Saturday as well, when they were defeated by West Chester United SC, 5-1, at their home field. Electric City comes into Wednesday’s match with a 1-3-1 record, with their only win coming at Hershey on May 25th.
Last season, FC Monmouth defeated Electric City, 2-1, at Count Basie Park. FC Monmouth led 2-0 at half-time, thanks to a penalty kick that was converted by forward Jordan Saling and a strike that went on to be the club’s goal of the season by forward Daniel Vicente. Though the Shock pulled one back early on in the second half, FC Monmouth would hold on for the three points in the end.
