Covello and Silva Depart for Europe
Two FC Monmouth players will be playing in Europe during the upcoming season.
FC Monmouth midfielder Chase Covello has joined Gibraltarian side FC Bruno’s Magpies. Founded in 2013, the Magpies finished third in Gibraltar’s second division last season.
Covello’s 829 minutes played throughout FC Monmouth’s inaugural season was the highest of the whole squad, and his three goals fell just short of top goalscorer Jordan Saling’s four. The midfielder was a starter in all ten of his appearances for the club. Covello’s partnership with George Akampeke in defensive midfield and consistent performances played a crucial part in FC Monmouth’s 6-3-1 regular season finish.
